I have seen a lot of focus on the mystery boxes and special outfits of late and not enough focus on general fashion for girls to buy. I think in particular they should introduce some more styles of jeans, more jackets and shoes, perhaps some more high heel shoes (they only have like 2 pairs!). I’m sure theres tonnes of different styles of clothing that would be easy to create and introduce to the world.

I really struggled to find a pair of blue jeans in all the different varieties of clothing ourWorld has, how weird is that. You think ourWorld would have designed one pair of popular blue jeans, you know the dark blue type colour that everyone wears. Also when sifting through the jewellery they had I noticed there was a lack of delicate bracelets and necklaces, there’s too much chunky jewellery going on. I’d like to see more streamlined jewellery with some shimmering effects added.

Below you can find my Rihanna style dress up fashion and the video from which I took the inspiration from. I actually find it fun seeing how close I can match ourWorld’s fashion with music videos, being a fashion design student it gives me ideas for my course work. Enjoy girls!

OurWorld is by far the number one in hair dressing games, not only can you dress your avatar up in hundreds of different hair styles but you have an option of over 20 different hair colours that can you can change to at any time you like. Arielle99′s winged bat hat and strappy shoes had the edge over oOTouchOfSunOo here.

o OKattyO o’s purple glowing wings and fitted red ravishing top was too spooky for Nekomata963 to handle.

FanGirl with her arachnid back piece and mortisha hair style scared away VIP Devillisch x’s gorgeous little pet devil and probably Devillisch herself!

s2xX meyga Xxs2 looks better in the black vintage ball dress than Amanda NZ who’s out with her scythe once more trying to claim more heads along the way to another contest win!

Colour’s more modist black dracula style is kinder on the eye and more authentic than morakini’s striking red and black dress sense.

I’m expecting this one to be a really tough challenge because many girls and boys in ourWorld have really stylish black outfits and it won’t take many more gems or gold coins to combine a few pink items with them. Only time will tell how much other players like my style…if you do, don’t forget to log in to the world and vote for me!

*Update 2nd October – Through into the second round: Got a mail from the guys in ourWorld that I’m through to the second round, me and over 1000 other players. Let’s see how well I do this time round

Lauren67′s sparkly aura and black and white socks edge out Tanzee xx who also dressed to impress.

Candace52′s scimitar and black wings slice and dice through iLikee x3′s meaker pirate style!

The legend of Zoro returns with MareksGregs man behind the mask mysterious look, to be fair to x3 Princess she needed a finely dressed man like MarekGregs to outflank her style here.

Although Whisky Princess looks mightily impressive with he devish pirate look iAteKatsTeddy’s hand mounted scimitar and black and white majestic angel wings steal the show.

Amanda NZ’s grim reaper scythe and all black pirate outfit paint a more menacing picture than iAlexisTh0rn x3′s  pearly white and black pirate costume.

The red wins my vote this time with ImBrinGiNCxXiBaC dashing red and black pirate costume combined with cape and wings to match, sorry Luisa13 but she has the cut over you here!

xRawr xRawr x’s saucy pirate look doesn’t quite do enough to pull the attention away from candace52 who also won against another contestant further up.

Celeia’s turn to shine, her scimitar is too sharp and chunky for wolvensoul’s blood splattered blade.

Although iParamore’s purple aura and striking black wings would lure many judge’s eyes, Ana x has a more innocent and tidy fashion sense that paints a more admirable and modist pirate here.

iAteKatsTeddy prevails again, this time over Lauren67, I can see him being in the final few contestants.

It certainly is Destiny20872′s destiny to proceed through to the 10th round of voting, shes makes a too hot to handle pirate for iLikee x3 to cut down.

Probably the toughest one to call of the competition so far for me, and iDanceInRain xD’s blue aura and black pirate threads may see her through to the next round but certainly not at the expense of 0NE L0VE x3 who’s a swash buckling red rose that has just come in to full bloom!

Amanda NZ is claiming a few heads here with her scythe and x3 Princess is her next victim.

XxKillerAngelxX’s pale and spooky doll face with thin blood red outline has too much zest for R0800′s sea blue pirate appeal.

AlwaysSmile, since when has dolphins and a rainbow whisp had anything to do with pirates?! An impressive ride but too irrelevant in this case for a pirate theme and Ariana Danielle’s skeleton and pirate outfit combo clearly shines through here.

The first time I have alotted a winning spot for a glowing blue aura contestant and its fully deserved for 0xmileyx0′s arch angel wings and imprinted scimitar blade.

So its my first fashion contest i’ve ever entered and I’m excited to see how far I’ll get in it! I’m not one to enter loads of competitions in ourWorld but when I saw the summer contest coming up in two days time it seemed like a more ‘normal’ competition for me to shoot for, with possibly less of the whacky items needed to get far.

At first I opted for a white cosmic limited edition dress but then later changed my mind and went for yellow as its naturally a better summer colour. In total its a whole new outfit, everything being bought from scratch accept my Giga Freeze Sky Fairy which I grew in my critter garden. My outfit goes like this:

> A pale yellow sugar star bunny hat

> Yellow glowing heart shades from Otto

> Yellow glowing heart necklace from Otto

> Cosmic yellow and white limited edition dress

> Yellow and black heart glowing bracelets

> Fluffy umbrella (can’t remember the exact term!)

> Strappy sandals

> A floating cloud vehicle

> Strappy white sandals

> A rare giga freeze sky fairy

If you think I look summary enough then and that I have style why not vote for me in the summer fashion competition that starts in 2 days time.

*Update – 28th September – I’m through to round 2 and competing against over 1200 other competitors I think having missed out on putting my hair on may mean I fail to progress as far as I wanted to! We will just have to see

*Update 30th September - Well I sadly failed to get past the second round for this contest, I don’t know if it had anything to do with me forgetting to apply my hair or whether my modist summer dress simply wasn’t bikini like enough but I will be putting in for some more fashion contests very soon!

I’ll be buying the Lux Feather Boa and the Hachimaki, what about you?

I bought a few roses to throw at some of the contestants because I thought they looked the best out of the bunch I snapped so they are shown first in the pics below, I have only commented on the pictures that inspired me to write, enjoy the halloween fancy dress fashion guys!

Above I threw a rose at itchy puglet for his wicked and creepy spider costume, Cookie xD’s big glaring face was no match for itchy’s arachnid attitude!

Lotnut913′s devil wings and flaming red flares out did Black Parade’s caped spider dress. I don’t know why players use hover boards and other such unrelated vehicles in contests but I actually think it detracts from their look, its almost like players throw in rides for the sake of bragging rights…in any case they don’t work in unrelated contests people!

Ok OwEliteBlueDance looks a bit of a monstrosity, but I looked at her 3 headed hound pet and it was love at first sight!

Right on with PIPecka’s mumified mask with peeping eye.

This was one of the toughest halloween fancy dress contest votes so far, but Amanda NZ’s ghostly like glowing gown and grim reapers scythe worked so well even though I still feel there was something lacking with her, maybe those wings don’t suit the ghostly look being given off!

Check MJoe out, the red and black is mixed so so well here, I love the umbrella it compliments the whole costume and adds that extra bit of black needed to stop the red from dominating.

Tough one, but xMzKandi’s simple white mumified look with a hilarious clown mask actually works much better than some of the more audaciously dressed halloween contestants.

emo girl33 looks much more menacing than iDoRkZiLIA x3 who although looks dashing, belongs more in a jolly swash buckle tale than a halloween contest. If it was battle of the names she would win by a country mile though!

xXxAmMyxXx checkered black and white clown look is outrageously awesome here! If you have never been afraid of clowns you will be now! I have to admit Scarlet Dread dresses as a freaky and pale doll very well and could steal alot of votes from other players.

Battle of the demonic clowns here, ShowMeUrGrrFace’s little vampire pet gives her the edge over OwEliteEngel.

I love xXMusicJunkyXx’s voodoo doll pet and when alls said and done with the voting that pet might just edge out quite a few strikingly dressed opponents.

OwEliteBlueDance strikes again with that gorgeous 3 headed hound of hers!

Scary ninja time, Buff Hamster64′s bat winged ninja blades and executioners hood gives her too much attitude for ER908IN to handle!

Well contests in ourworld are where you enter in an outfit that you are currently wearing against lots of other people. Everyone in ourWorld can vote and they find a winner. There are lots of different types of contests varying form “cutest” to “fancy dress” to “monsters”.

FoxyZoe has posted on some of these contests in the past, you can find examples below:

• Secret Agent Contest
• Rapper Contest

So basically there are contests for everyone. To enter a contest you go onto the top toolbar in ourWorld and then go down to contests and click on “contests”. On the left hand side it will give you an option of 2 different contests that you can enter at the moment. You can only enter each contest once and it costs a small price of 20p for every contest. Once you have entered there is not much more you can do apart from possibly asking your friends to vote for you, but that won’t make much difference to how well you do, it is mainly in the hands of everyone in ourWorld, most of them you won’t even know!

On that same page that you were on in the middle it shows you 2 contests that you can currently vote in. You can click on the one which you would like to vote in and then it will take you to the catwalk where you vote. Once you are there it will show you 2 entries at a time, you can vote for 1 of them or you can fail both of them. There is a 20 second gap in between each pair so you have enough time to vote.
